Christmas Recipes: gingerbread

Gingerbread is a sweet Umbrian tradition. In the rest of Italy is a typically Christmassweet, so nice and consumed in this happy time of year. Spread in various parts ofcentral Italy is prepared in many delicious variations of which we propose there onlyone. Try it, because it is delicious!

Nuts: 150 grams
Almonds: 150 gr
Hazelnuts: 150 gr
Raisins: 150 grams
Honey: 300 g
Chocolate: 150 g
Candied: 150 gr
Flour: 350 grams
Black pepper: 1 teaspoon
Nutmeg: ½ teaspoon
Recipe and preparation

Here are the instructions.
Chop walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts and chocolate, at this point stir and add the candied fruit, the 'raisins and spices (nutmeg, black pepper).
Heat honey in a saucepan and heat just to mix together all ingredients, stir well andgradually add the flour and mix well, stirring constantly so the mixture ishomogeneous.
With this mixture to form dough balls 3-4 (your choice) and bake at 170 degrees(resting them on a sheet of parchment paper) for 15-20 minutes, then let cool.

Consumed after 4 or 5 days.
